My name is Janae. You may have read some of my earlier work under that name. Well, I have rebranded because I figured something out. I write dark prophetic romantasy: witches, fallen angels, forbidden power, prophecy, and love that costs something. It isn't always beautiful. It isn't always neat. Life is messy and thus, so is my work. I reflect the part of humanity that questions everything. I have been building these worlds since 2020, and I don't look away. You should know that going in. I force you to look in the mirror and embrace the good and the bad.
My books do entertain, but they also surprise, tickle, shock and steer you in ways you weren't expecting to go. We be ordainary in a world that is so extraordainary? I study grief, obsession, faith, appetite, the things people are told not to put on the page. I put them on the page anyway. They say don't write a prologue. I ask why? They say don't add illustrastions in cheaper options. I ask why not? I am not selling you a book. I am giving you an experience. That is the whole job, as far as I am concerned.
